Over the summer, some of the guys from our previous team found, bought and installed a used washing machine in my new apartment for us. That was wonderful and would have been completely solved except for one small problem: the first time I used it, it broke. (the whole story of how that happened is in my last post). Last Wednesday, the guy who sold me the broken washing machine finally came (4 days after I called him) and essentially broke the door to get my clothes out and then told me he would charge me to replace the parts he just broke if I wanted it fixed. (If that seems unfair to you that he would sell me something broken and then try to charge me to fix it, you and I are on the same page). Anyway, he was supposed to call me and let me know how much the parts would cost. It's been a week now and still no word from him.
Since the universities start back up on Monday (!!) my life is about to get waaaay more crazy, so basically, I just want to get this thing finished and move on to more important things. Like talking to university students about Jesus. So in the interest of moving this thing forward, we found and are purchasing another washing machine today. Fingers crossed that we have better luck with this one! Hopefully we'll be able to get rid of the broken one somehow...
I think maybe the Lord is trying to use this country to teach me patience. Hmmm.
