My teammate Andy turned 25 today, so we had a birthday dinner for him with our team. His choice: Que Pasa, the closest thing we can find to real Mexican food in Berlin (it happens to be run by Indian guys, but they produce pretty decent Mexican).
Our friend, Enrico, also orchestrated a surprise party for Andy after dinner. Elaine spun him some story about how Richard wanted to meet him for drinks somewhere that he needed to be dressed up for. So he went home to change and the rest of us made excuses about how we had other places to get to. Actually the place we had to be was the Skybar in the Europa Center where Enrico had reserved a room for us. The Skybar is a super posh lounge on the 20th floor, which provides an awesome view of the city. We also conveniently caught a beautiful sunset. It's a good enough view, in fact, that I didn't even mind (much) how ridiculously priced the drinks were. I will choose to consider it paying for the atmosphere.
